D200 Summer Camp Offers Fun for Budding Artists

Registration is now open for the District’s 2014 Summer Youth Art Camp.  Offered each year by the D200 art and graphics teachers, the camp is held at Woodstock High School and offers children experience in painting, drawing, computer art, and sculpture.

District 200 Names Mike Moan New Superintendent

The District 200 Board of Education has announced that at its February 25 meeting, Michael Moan was appointed as the new Superintendent for Woodstock District 200.  Mike grew up in Woodstock and graduated from Woodstock High School.  He has served Huntley District 158 as a teacher, Dean of Students, Principal and, most recently, its Chief Academic Officer.

Applications Available for D200 School Board

The Woodstock Community Unit School District 200 Board of Education is accepting applications to fill a vacancy on the school board.  The successful candidate will be appointed during April and will serve until the Spring 2015 election.

Peace Makers Club starts at Dean Elementary

Children in grades 3rd, 4th and 5th meet once a month on Thursdays for Peace Makers Club. They have fun activities and discuss ways and give strageties on how to keep our school 'bully free".

No School During Winter Break, but Fun Still in Session at Kids Club!

Parents are reminded that Kids Club will be available during the Winter Break, with the exception of days off for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays.  Kids Club will be open 12/23, 12/26, 12/27, 12/30, 1/2 and 1/3.  Families who are not Kids Club "regulars" are also welcome to register for Kids Club Auxiliary Days - Winter Break 2013.

P.A.L.S.

P.A.L.S. is a volunteer mentor program and stands for Positive Attitudes Leading Students.  This program began during the 2011-12 school year and has been such a success that it has tripled in the number of mentees, mentors and activities!
